Jagdpanzer Elefant
Early type Ferdinand

This Elefant/Ferdinand is on display at the Tank Museum of the Red Army in Kubinka (Russia). It was captured during the battle of Kursk in 1943. This vehicle was also called "Ferdinand" until Kursk because of its designer Ferdinand Porsche. After Kursk it was redesigned with MGs for selfdefense as most vehicles were lost to infantry assaults. Its designation was changed to Elefant then.
